2/13/2024 0 Comments Pcsx2 games take up too much![]() Once again, I can run normal PC games significantly smoother, that require a lot of CPU and GPU usage, yet, I'm trying to figure out why Big Red One would run twice as slow as a game from three years later.Īnd, it seems to be the percentage shown at the top of the screen, it doesn't seem like frames, but more like the entire thing itself, there's no real stuttering, it's like if someone took a youtube video with the audio and slowed it down 50 percent. Intel Graphics HD 4000 (Which seems to be enough since all the tutorials i've read say Intel graphics are enough) The funny thing is, my PC can handle games that require much more load on the CPU and GPU (even modern games) and they run faster than these PS2 ROMs, which probably don't even need that much of a build to even run. I've tried games like the Big Red One, Gran Turismo, etc, and all seem to slow down right as I leave the menu. I just returned to emulating (after my first experience was on mobile) and was wondering why my game speeds up to 150%, then all the way down to 20% when the "game" is actually playing (not in the game's menu). Overall, this pull request offers a significant performance boost for games that heavily stream textures and provides a new feature for texture replacements, making it a valuable addition to the GS's texture cache. Simple tech support or general queries not fulfilling that requirement belong in the Weekly Question Thread and will be redirected there. It also has a maximum texture size that it can cache, to avoid caching too many large textures which would consume too much memory.
